I have had a number of recent dealings with Coastal
Communications and both Richard and Kevin have been friendly and attentive to my
requirements. Richard has resolved all the issues I put to him quickly,
professionally and successfully and Kevin made the coffee with a smile on his

This is just a quick email to say a very
BIG THANK YOU for your fantastic Customer Service and
quick response.
After phoning you on Thursday the 22/07/10 and
making enquires about the Yaesu FT290R and gleaming the information, I advised
that I would call back on the Friday to order and pay for it over the phone.
This I duly did and on the Saturday morning before 11am (To my
great surprise) it arrived.
Not only did it arrive but it was
very well packaged and after having set up the radio and
getting reports on it using FM and SSB it is working perfectly and doing just
as it should.
I would like to add that the condition of the said
radio is fantastic.

Having got my 5Mhz NoV I lacked the equipment to wideband my Transceiver for
that allocation. After a brief exchange of emails, I arranged to take my radio
to Coastal. The work was done in a jiffy, and I was very pleased with the
courteous and prompt service. I will definitely use Coastal again, and cannot
recommend them highly enough. How refreshing to find a proper 'service centre',
and not just a shop! ALWAYS HELPFUL, 3RD TIME OF USING. WILL USE AGAIN.
I don't know if its the sea air at Clacton or if Richard eats 3 Weetabix! I ordered on a Friday morning a battery charger, next day our postman is handing it to me at my door, on the other side of the country. What a service by both Coastal Communications and the Royal Mail. When I need any other electronic equipment Coastal Communications will be my first shop. Aye Brian

Dear Richard, I am writing to say how pleased I am with the MA-1300-R aerial I bought from you last November. For various reasons I have only recently been able to get it fixed externally high up on the house, but I am now impressed with its performance when used with my Yupiteru 7100 scanner. I am able to pull in signals from various airfields in Hampshire and marine signals from Portsmouth, Isle of Wight and Southampton. I am very glad I took your advice to buy this aerial. 10 years I've gone back on the air and I'm really enjoying it.
The day after I got back from your shop, I assembled the G5RV 1/2 wave, and patiently set up, soldering the PL259s and checking everything. Once I plugged in the coax, the radio really came alive! My first contact out of the box was Moscow! And all on a piece of wire from my window-ledge! So far I've contacted Florida, Morocco, Lithuania, Ukraine and Iceland(!) - and all in one week! I never realised amateur radio could be this enjoyable - and all on a primitive antenna set up that is barely above ground level!
